Dental Equipment available for your care

We have several pieces of dental equipment at our office that help differentiate us from other offices and we feel it helps us provide more precise, comfortable dental care for our patients.
DENTAL LASER - This is used for desensitizing teeth that are touch, cold or hot sensitive only. In addition, it can be used for very conservative periodontal treatment. In other words, when a patient has gum problems, the laser is a very effective tool for helping the tissue to heal. Fewer than a dozen offices in the South Bay offer laser treatment for their patients.
INTRA-ORAL VIDEO IMAGING CAMERA- This is used to view the inside of the mouth on a magnified view about 28x the normal size. It helps us to see areas of early leakage around old fillings or cracks on teeth, decay or open margins, thereby being able to treat them while it is more conservative for our patients. It is a very effective tool to use with all new patient exams.
SOFT PREP 200 - Our newest addition to our office. This instrument allows us to remove small fillings and decay WITHOUT DRILLING OR ANESTHETIC in many cases. It uses an air micro-abrasion technique that cleans out the tooth conservatively and comfortably. This eliminates the high pitch and vibration associated with the drill. Although it won't completely eliminate the need for a drill, it is definitely a great start! Again, fewer than a dozen offices in Santa Clara County offer this technology currently. TV's in the treatment rooms Have you ever wanted to just "zone" out while getting your dental work done? We can appreciate that most people would rather be elsewhere than at the dental office, so we attempt to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

For your comfort at our office:
Stereo headphones are available in each treatment room.
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available to help relax those patients who may be a little anxious.
Camplex 2000 is a homeopathic tablet that is available to help you relax similar to how tea might.
