Modern science has now made it possible to regenerate the bone support
around the roots of teeth that has been destroyed by periodontal disease.
Technically, this procedure is called "Guided Tissue Regeneration."
This proceudre can be done around one or more teeth using various materials
such as natural bone powders, along with synthetic membranes which will
eventually resorb (dissolve) and be replaced by your own natural bone tissues.
This same procedure is also used to rebuild the dental ridges to improve
the cosmetics where bone shrinkage has occurred from the loss of teeth.
This procedure recreates the natural contours by making the ridges thick
enough to even receive dental implants.
